Publication of 2026 Assessments
The Bloomingdale Township Assessor’s Office has completed assessments for the 2026 assessment year. The assessments for most properties were increased by the 2026 Equalization Factor of 7.93% based on the sales ratio study conducted by the Illinois Department of Revenue. The Department annually compares our assessments to recent sales in the township to determine whether assessments on the whole need to increase or decrease. Properties whose assessments change other than by 7.93% will receive a notice of assessment change and those changes will be published in a local newspaper.
The publication of assessment changes opens the 30-day window for property owners to challenge their assessments. The publication date for the 2026 assessment year is September 25, 2026. Assessment appeals can be filed with the DuPage County Board of Review from September 25th through October 26th. Property owners should reach out to the assessor’s office prior to filing an appeal. We can help you understand the assessment and the data used to determine your assessment.
NOTE: The DuPage County Board of Review cannot accept any 2026 assessment appeals that are not filed by the October 26th deadline.
